Lorenzo Wright, the warden of the Arizona State Prison at Florence, has shown himself well qualified for the responsible position which he is holding.  He was born at Brigham City, Utah on the 25th day of June, 1883 and is a son of Lorenzo and Sonora (Packard) Wright.  His father, who was a farmer by vocation was killed by Indians in 1885, about fifteen miles east of Solomonville in the Gila Valley.  Lorenzo Wright was a baby when brought to Arizona by his parents and here he was reared to the life of a farm boy, his early years being divided between farming, road building and attendance in the district school.  When eighteen years old he moved to Bisbee where for ten years he worked in the mines. In 1910 he became a member of the Bisbee Police on which he served for ten years. In 1903 Mr. Wright was united in marriage to Miss Theresa Goodman, a daughter of Joseph and Margaret (Taylor) Goodman of St. David and to them have been born six sons and two daughters: Beatrice, aged twenty three years, is the wife of Ira Judd and both of them are teaching school; Harold, aged twenty one, is secretary and treasurer of the Ingram Mattress Company; Margaret, aged nineteen; Bassett, aged 17; William, aged 13; Thomas Edward, aged 9; John W., aged 5; and Lavaun, aged 3.
